The Word 'Koyak' Is Now Part Of Urban Dictionary - WORLD OF BUZZ - Dictionary

The attack on Palestinians in Gaza in recent times impacted not only those directly involved in the conflict, but also observers from around the world.

If you are one of those who frequent Twitter, more often that not, you will come across Israelis boasting the might of the regime in intercepting bombs launched by the Hamas.

It does not end there, as they also strive to gain public sympathy by showing off videos of Israelis under attack.

It is, a bit, one sided, if you ask me.

What’s most interesting, most of these sympathy-mongering Israelis have come under fire from Malaysians and the unofficially infamous Bawang Army.

So much so, that the bombardment of Israeli owned social media accounts, one in particular, a certain @IdoDaniel responding “Koyak to you too”, sparked a hate campaign towards Israel through #IsraelKoyak.

Since Koyak is now a very popular word, Urban Dictionary, a crowdsourced online dictionary for slang words and phrases has included the word ‘Koyak’ as part of their repertoire.

‘Koyak’ is defined as ‘a person who is hurt after being called out for or made fun of.”

“Example of usage: Hahaha koyak (Hahaha you’re hurt).”

Not bad Malaysians, not bad.

Let’s hope that the online campaign carried out by Malaysians and people of the world will eventually stop the conflict currently taking place in the Gaza Strip and everywhere else in Palestine.
