"COVID-19" set the record for word coinage to inclusion in a dictionary in English: thirty-four days. Dictionaries also fast tracked words that were on their way to inclusion - like “super-spreader” and “self-quarantine.” And they updated a handful of definitions as well, including "bubble" and "lockdown."
