Actor Kangana Ranaut has endorsed a "definition" of actor Taapsee Pannu, and also called her 'she-man'. The Twitter account of Urban Dictionary had posted a definition of Taapsee.
"Taapsee Pannu is bollywood actress known for her befitting replies. She's also called as the "Sasti Copy" of Indian superstar and padma shri recipient - Kangana Ranaut. She is also a member of Pappu Gang. Taapsee Pannu is a walmart version of Kangana Ranaut," Urban Dictionary's tweet read.
Kangana shared the tweet and wrote, "Ha ha ha She-man will be very happy today."

Reacting to her tweet, many Twitter users criticised Kangana's 'bullying' of Taapsee. "Then what's the difference between you and Bullywood? All that standing up for Sushant only to turn around and do similar to someone else," she wrote. "She is as good actress as you. But she is definitely a better person that you. Your support and cheap ha ha ha tells a lot about you. Shame," wrote another. "Kangana don't do this kind of tweets it's going to damage ur image please don't do. It's of requests. We all love uh. We can't see uh in troubles," read another tweet.
Recently, Taapsee thanked Kangana when she received a Filmfare award for her performance in Thappad. “Thank you so much Kangana for pushing the boundaries. The benchmark of your performances just keeps going higher every year," she said. Taapsee also thanked Deepika Padukone, Vidya Balan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Kangana's sister Rangoli Chandel had earlier called Taapsee "cheap version" of the actor. "Kuch log Kangana ko copy kar ke he apni dukaan chalate hain (Some people are running their shops by copying Kangana), magar pls note, they never acknowledge her not even a mention of her name in praising the trailer, last I heard Taapsee ji said Kangana needs a double filter and Tapsee ji you need to stop being a sasti copy," she tweeted in 2019.

In response, Taapsee had said, “Seriously, I will not apologise for my honest opinion. I did not know that she has a patent on curly hair because I born with curly hair, and my parents are responsible for that. So, I cannot apologies for that either. Rest, I do not know what else I have copied. However, if I am a copy of a good actress like her (Kangana) -- and I always maintain that she is a good actress -- I take it as a compliment. I am also called ‘sasti’ (cheap). Yes, I am not the highest-paid actress, so that way you can call me ‘sasti’.”

Effects of the "emergency brake" on Wiesbaden and opening of "Prio Group 3"
The federal "emergency brake" and the opening of the "Prio Group 3" of the Vaccination Ordinance by the Hessen state government have an impact on the state capital Wiesbaden: The emergency brake applies immediately without further municipal implementation. Opening of the "Prio Group 3": beneficiaries must register for vaccination via the state‘s appointment portal; Members of the volunteer fire brigades and civil protection can get vaccinated.
At a special meeting on Thursday, 22 April, the German Bundesrat approved the "Fourth Act for the Protection of the Population in an Epidemic Situation of National Importance". In record-breaking brevity, the federal president signed it in a matter of hours and published it. The new version of the Infection Protection Act came into force today and the measures of the "emergency brake" that it contains will apply for the first time in the affected areas starting tomorrow, Saturday. The duraction is limited to 30 June 2021.
The scope of the regulation is as follows: If the number of new infections with the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 per 100,000 inhabitants exceeds the threshold of 100 within seven days on three consecutive days in a county or a county-free city, the federal regulations provided for in the "emergency brake" will apply immediately.
- Private meetings are limited to the members of one‘s household and a maximum of one other person, both in public and private spaces. Excluded are children under 14 years of age.
- Funeral services of up to 30 people are allowed in order to meet the need for an adequate framework.
- Curfews apply between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. However, staying outside the living space is permitted for example, to exercise a professional activity, to avert a danger to life, limb or property, to exercise the right of custody or access, to exercise one’s professional requirements or mandate, for reporting purposes by representatives of the press, radio, film and other media, to provide immediate care for persons or minors in need of assistance, to accompany the dying or to care for animals or to provide for similar indissociable purposes. An additional exception applies to evening walkers or joggers between 10 p.m. and midnight when they are travelling alone.
- In the case of a seven-day incidence above 100, it is also prohibited to open leisure facilities, museums, movie theaters, theatres and similar establishments, as well as restaurants, except drive-in theaters. On the other hand, the delivery of food and beverages and their sale for takeaway – but only outside the hours of the curfew restrictions – are still possible. Outdoor areas of zoological and botanical gardens can be visited by presenting a negative corona test result from the same day.
- The opening of shops and markets with customer traffic is prohibited in principle. Exclude are: food trade including direct marketing, beverage markets, health food stores, baby markets, pharmacies, medical centers, drugstores, opticians, hearing care workers, gas stations, newspaper sales outlets, bookshops, florists, animal supplies markets, feeding markets, garden markets and wholesalers. These are subject to further conditions (specifications for the area available per customer; mandatory masks of the FFP2 standard or comparable or medical face mask).
- In all other retail stores, if the seven day incidences is below 150, the "Federal Emergency Brake" allows for „Click and Meet“ with the presentation of a negative result of a test from the same day. In addition, the collection of pre-ordered goods in shops (Click & Collect) is still permitted.
- Further restrictions are in place for the exercise of sport and the use of physical services.
- Accommodation offers for tourist purposes are prohibited.
These rules shall expire if the 7-day incidence levels drop below 100 for five consecutive working days.
- Schools, vocational schools, universities, extracurricular adult education institutions and similar institutions must stop classroom teaching at an incidence of 165 or more. Exceptions may be made on the state side for final classes and support schools.
- Kitas, Hort and day care must switch to emergency care at an incidence of 165.
- Employees must work in home office if they can, unless there are reasons such as spatial tightness, disturbances by third parties or insufficient technical equipment. Employers must explain to the competent authority why home office is not possible if the authority so requests.
- It is also noted that contacts in the exercise of a professional activity, participation in strikes, the exercise of political mandates, voluntary activities or official appointments do not count as contacts in the context of private meetings.
In addition, the state government retains the right to issue more extensive legal regulations. It may also transfer the authorisation to 'other bodies'. It remains to be seen how the Hessen state government intends to use this right, which it has been granted in relation to the Hessen concept of escalation and prevention. This arrangement is still pending.
It can be expected that the state government will follow its previous course and that the district-free cities and counties will continue to have to adopt supplementary regulations by means of the general decree.
The Hessen Corona Cabinet will discuss the consequences of the "Federal Emergency Brake" for the Hessen Corona Regulations this afternoon. The extent to which the state government will make changes to the Current Hessen Corona Regulations is not yet known.
According to the RKI, the 7-day incidence in Wiesbaden is now 175, yesterday it was 148 and on 21 April it was 129 of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in the past seven days. This means that the emergency brake will also apply in Wiesbaden from tomorrow on. The law enforcement authorities of the state capital will also enforce this.
"We continue to ask all Wiesbaden residents for their understanding and urge them to comply with the measures. Please join in and keep up. The Office of Public Order will monitor compliance and also imposes fines, but the Public Order officers cannot be everywhere at the same time. The observance of these duties shoud be a consideration for the fellow citizens of course," appeal Lord Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Mayor and Health Department Director Dr. Oliver Franz to the Wiesbadeners.
Since Friday 23 April, it has been possible for the citizens of the prioritisation group three to arrange a vaccination date. This weekend, the state capital Wiesbaden will vaccinate the members of the volunteer fire brigades and the civil protection. "We do not want a two-tier society of our forces. Whether professional or volunteer fire brigades, we need to protect our emergency services in the best possible way so that they can provide their service to the general public safely. But we also owe it to their families," Mende and Dr. Franz concluded.

But captioning and subtitling has also kept pace with the development of video, thanks in large part to organizations like SimonSays. With the latest transcription software, you can create closed captions (CC), SDH subtitles (Subtitles for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing), or language translation subtitles easily and in modern production timeframes.
I dove into the SimonSays transcription and subtitles services for a few weeks and cut videos of our very own Mark Anthony Ramirez for Laptop Mag. I also spoke with SimonSays CEO Shamir Allibhai to learn more.

SimonSays works with dozens of footage formats, including all the usual suspects such as h.264, h.265, .mp4, .mov, .wav, .mp3. I learned quickly that it was a better idea to upload audio files rather than video files to save time uploading, but I found the service to be equally effective with whichever approach I tried.
SimonSays.ai who made it, and who is it for?
The SimonSays website states how the team behind this product come from a filmmaking background. In 2015, Shamir Allibhai left his career as a documentary filmmaker in the Middle East, with projects in Qatar and Afghanistan, to begin a new venture in California that aimed to bring computing solutions to the meticulous and sometimes infuriating task of subtitling.

As someone who had worked across many Middle Eastern languages and dialects, and with a long list of friends in the industry with whom he could consult, Shamir was well placed. His team began by developing and training an in-house AI that could triple task recognizing language, speaker identity, and crucially, auto punctuation.
However, a small startup in 2015 was never going to be able to compete with the likes of Google and Amazon in terms of AI computing. At this point, Shamir said, they had “no skin in the AI game” and simply outsourced those tasks to the best performers in the market. He said their customers were looking to them to fit into the workflow; recognizing this early on meant they could keep their focus on how to solve problems for video professionals. After using SimonSays, it is clear to me that the goal was achieved.

To get started, you can either set up an account with SimonSays or create a login using your Apple, Facebook, Google or LinkedIn profiles. Once logged in, you are faced with a homepage that displays all your recent projects alongside demonstration modules. You can sort through these with options on the left side of the main window.

Although the demo modules are comprehensive and clear, I didn’t spend much time with them. After clicking the “New Project” button, the next page invites you to upload your audio or video file.

Once uploaded, the system will quiz you on the native language for the audio, and prompt you for payment, which you can do per project or via a subscription.

At this point, the job is practically done. After a few minutes, SimonSays spits out a full transcription of your file and you can edit it right there in the browser on a page that you can share with other team members. Anyone with permission can comment and edit in a team sharing setting similar to Google Docs.

From here, if you want to refine the layout of your subtitles before export, you can use the “Visual Subtitle Editor,” which is essentially an extension of the native browser-based text editor.

This takes a good guess at laying out your transcription in lines that make sense within the parameters you set. Then you are ready to export, unless you want to translate the text into a different language.

SimonSays offers translation services in 100+ languages, including many dialects, at the click of a button. I can’t speak to how effective their translation of English into Kenyan Swahili might be, but I speak a little French and the translation they returned certainly looked like French.

Whether it’s a translation or the original transcription, exporting the subtitles for editing software is a cinch. The software offers export options for Word, Premiere Pro, Final Cut X, Adobe Audition, AVID as well as standard Closed Caption and Subtitle formats.

I exported a .srt file, dropped it into Premiere Pro, and as they say in England, “Bob’s your uncle.” The subtitles sat almost immaculately over the footage, leaving me to wonder how many mouse clicks I had just saved.
SimonSays.ai bottom line
SimonSays slots into the video production workflow seamlessly to provide accurate captioning and subtitling, taking care of much of the labor in transcription and translation. For longer projects requiring multiple translators, client feedback and other advanced features, it allows for faster team communication within the same document as the transcription, meaning an editor can implement feedback in almost real time.
I haven’t yet tested the newly announced extension for Premiere Pro but in the limited way I’ve been using it, SimonSays is a good solution for the challenges professionals face in this field. I would encounter one or two mis-interpretations per minute which, considering the authenticity of Mark Anthony Ramirez’s New York accent, is pretty impressive. Any errors are easily corrected either in the SimonSays web editor or after importing the subtitle file into editing software.
In some cases, SimonSays reduces the transcribing procedure from days down to hours, meaning accurate captioning is unlikely to become a casualty of the accelerating turnaround of video production. The development of SimonSays alongside software like Premiere Pro means subtitles in almost any language can be an easy and helpful addition to your project.
TEHRAN – A news Persian translation of Austrian novelist Peter Handke’s “A Sorrow Beyond Dreams” has recently been published in Tehran.
Farhange Nashre No is the publisher of the book, which has been translated into Persian from a German version by Nasser Ghiasi.
Handke’s mother was an invisible woman. Throughout her life, which spanned the Nazi era, the war and the postwar consumer economy, she struggled to maintain appearances, only to arrive at a terrible realization: “I’m not human any more.” Not long after that, she killed herself with an overdose of sleeping pills.
In “A Sorrow Beyond Dreams”, her son sits down to record what he knows, or thinks he knows, about his mother’s life and death before, in his words, “the dull speechlessness — the extreme speechlessness” of grief takes hold forever.
And yet the experience of speechlessness, as it marks both suffering and love, lies at the heart of Handke’s brief but unforgettable elegy. This austere, scrupulous and deeply moving book is one of the finest achievements of a great contemporary writer.
An English translation by Ralph Manheim with an introduction by Jeffrey Eugenides previously has been published.
Handke is an avant-garde novelist and playwright whose body of work has been awarded numerous literary prizes, including the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2019.
He has also collaborated with German director Wim Wenders, writing the script for “The Wrong Move” and co-writing the screenplay for “Wings of Desire”.
Handke has received other awards, including the 1973 Georg Buchner Prize, the 1987 Vilenica International Literary Prize, and the 2018 Austrian Nestroy Theatre Prize for Lifetime Achievement.
At least three Persian translations of “A Sorrow Beyond Dreams” have previously been published in Iran. All these translations have been rendered from English translations of the book.

After gifting his niece with a dictionary, an attorney was saddened to find out that his niece no longer wanted the gift she was given. After asking her why she wanted to give it back, she referenced the definition of a word that made her feel different. When she saw the definition of the N-word and saw what it meant, she drew it to his attention. A negro or member of any dark-skinned people; a vulgar and offensive term (See Negro).” Due to that incident, he fought and succeeded in getting the publisher to remove the word from the dictionary.
According to Black News, attorney Roy Miller, who lives in Macon, Georgia, succeeded in accomplishing a feat that started with the disappointment of his niece. Through his efforts, Miller was able to effectively petition a major dictionary, published by Funk & Wagnalls, to remove a racial epithet that is considered by some to be the most distasteful word you can say.
“When I read the definition, I was outraged. I immediately realized that the old definition that applied the N-word to any race had changed. The change only gave a description, not a definition. It merely suggested to the reader that if you don’t know what a Nigger is, just look at a Negro or dark-skinned person and you’ll find out,” Miller stated.
“This definition could never apply to an innocent Black child. The term ‘nigger’ had belittled and confused my niece, causing her to question her identity. I asked myself how Funk & Wagnalls could justify in its 1993 edition that whatever vulgar and offensive things that niggers are supposedly known to do could only apply to a Negro or dark-skinned person (including an innocent Black child).”
He penned a letter to Funk & Wagnall back on March 17, 1994, and stated his position on the removal of the word, and Leon L. Bram, vice president & editorial director, responded back in a letter that is dated March 31, 1994, stating that the word would be deleted from all forthcoming printings. “Mr. Miller, your niece is fortunate in having an uncle as concerned and caring as you.”
